Windows Activation has locked me out
Problem details:
Starting my PC this morning i get a gray box that says "This version of Windows must be Activated". Activation online is requiring a license key which I no long have. How can I get my files off my computer before I loose them?
Solution details:
Safe mode gives same message. Boot normal. Clicked on "YES" to activate now then minimized next window. Key combo "Windows Key" and "U" brings up Microsoft's Narrator with a web hyper link. Clicking on key brings up iexplorer. In the Address line type in "c:\" which bring up several choices, pick one. Do Not click on the next Error pop up window, just drag out the way. Now minimize iexplorer and full access to windows explorer acquired. Used windows burning to copy files off computer.
