TROUBLESHOOTING NON-FUNCTIONING HARDWARE POST VISTA SP1 INSTALLATION
Problem details:
customer complains that following installation of Vista SP1 certain hardware is not functioning properly
Solution details:
1) Connect via remote connection and check in Device Manager for any exclamation marks designating a problem.
2) Run windows update to check for an updated driver for the device. If update can¿t find a driver it may be necessary to go to the manufacturer¿s website to find the needed software.
3) Uninstall and Reinstall the drivers for the problem hardware.
4) Test hardware to verify that the fix worked.
