Shutdown issue in Acer netbook
Problem details:
On XP in Acer notebook, soft shutdown hung on application fault caused by client-dependent service.
Solution details:
Set customer's windir%\system32\shutdown.exe to be appended with "-s -f", thus force closing the hanging service; service is still able to save it's state by design.
