PC Tune Up
Problem details:
Customer connected with me explaining that their computer was not running as fast as it was before and that they wanted me to clean up their system for them.
Solution details:
I started by disabling any unneeded programs from starting up that were just using system resources, and from there I ran a registry cleaner to clean up any invalid registry entried from the computer. After that, I cleaned out the user's temporary internet files, as well as old setup files that were not being used anymore. Lastly, I ran a defrag on his system in order to optimize his hard drive speeds. I advised the customer to switch from using Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefoz or Google Chrome, since both of these browsers do not take as many resources as Internet Explorer does. I lastly advised them that they might want to think about getting a RAM upgrade, since they only had 512 installed on their computer. I explained the advantages of extra RAM in the computer, both in regards to speed and overall performance.
