Opening Task Manager Quickly on Vista
Problem details:
On Vista, pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del brings up the security window rather than the task manager. In XP there was a setting to decide whether the key combination took you right to the window or open the security screen.
Solution details:
To go directly to the task manager window in Vista or in XP or in 2000 or 9x, simply use the key combination Ctrl+Shift+Esc rather than Ctrl+Alt+Del.
