Missing ethernet driver
Problem details:
Client contacted me noting they were not able install their networking driver.
Solution details:
I proceeded to remote into the client's computer noting the networking driver was already downloaded and extracted on the desktop. It appeared the system was freshly restored so I looked at Device Manager to see several missing pieces of hardware. I selected the missing ethernet card from the list and asked Windows to update the driver pointing to the folder on the desktop pre-selecting the Vista x86 directory on the desktop. The device properly installed.
